If you’re departing New Zealand on an international flight, you may be eligible to purchase selected jewellery tax‑free and collect it at the airport before you board.
How it Works?
Choose your piece in‑store Visit any participating Michael Hill store in NZ to select your jewellery and request a tax‑free purchase. (Online fulfilment for tax‑free is not offered at this time.)
Provide your flight details We’ll capture your flight number and date of travel, and verify your passport details so the invoice exactly matches the travel document.
Pay and we prepare your parcel Your jewellery is sealed and sent securely to the Airport Collection Point ready for your departure. (Operational packaging follows Customs requirements.)
Collect before you board On the day, present your Collection Authorisation and passport at the Collection Point after check‑in, before departure, and take your parcel with you on your international flight.

Timing and where to collect
Purchases must be made within 45 days of your departure date.
Please allow at least 5 working daysbefore your flight for us to prepare and deliver your parcel to the airport Collection Point.
Collection Points are available at Auckland (AKL), Wellington (WLG), Christchurch (CHC), and Queenstown (ZQN) international departure areas.
Airport delivery fee & GST treatment
A NZD $350 Airport Delivery Fee (including GST) applies to every tax‑free order. This fee is non‑refundable.For tax‑free orders:
