I was totally madly in love, the first day he walked into class it was like ‘oh my god!’”

“I was 14 and his name was Tommy. He came in to the 8th grade but transferred from another school. I was totally madly in love, the first day he walked into class it was like ‘oh my god!’”

She and Tommy dated for 2 years before he broke her heart: “he broke up with me because he said it was like we were married and he wanted to experience other girls.” After that, they fell out of touch until, almost 15 years later; she decided to reach out to him. “He [hung] up on me. I guess his wife was standing right there…I just wanted to say hi, how are you, who’d you marry, how’s your life?”

Although there have been other relationships - like her college beau who had an impressive job and a Honda 350, or her few days in 1972 with a Hell’s Angel who was “a perfect gentleman” - Tziporah says she’s never felt the same way about anyone since Tommy.
